Startups
Show us they’ll buy. If they do, we’ll build your startup’s software for you. No VC funding needed.
Many ideas don’t make it. Learn that in a few months, not after a year of building.
The offer
You know a problem and the people who have it. We give you a real sales system, free, and the time to show us they’ll pay. If they do, we’ll build the software your buyers just said yes to.
We deliver it priced like SaaS, a down payment and a monthly subscription, for a fraction of what an agency would charge. The top-ranked 10% in each cohort can even get theirs built for equity instead, and join the VerticalHorizon portfolio of startups.
Find your door
Everyone goes through vhOS, the sales system we built and use ourselves. What changes is the question it answers for you.
Idea stage
Nothing built yet, and that’s fine. You get the sales system and the time to find out if they’ll pay. If they will, we build from the specification you shape with us.
The question: Will they buy?
Product, no revenue
Closer than you think, and further than you’d like. The sales system tests the product you already have, with real buyers, scored with quoted evidence. If it sells, we build from where you are, and we’ll tell you honestly if that means starting over, or moving ahead full-steam.
The question: Will they buy it?
Paying customers
You’ve already answered the question the others are here to ask. Bring your pipeline into vhOS and run your selling through it, scored the same way ours is. Imported deals are context; the conversations you have in the window are the evidence. When the record shows what you told us, we advance you to a build early, on the terms below.
The question: Is it what you say it is?
Why vhOS for everyone? Because we decide whether to invest in building your software on evidence we can see, not numbers we’re told. A CRM full of leads looks like traction. A scored record of real conversations is traction.
Why this exists
Software used to cost so much that the first question was always “can you fund it?” With AI-governed builds, cost and speed have changed. The question that matters now is simpler: will anyone buy it, and can you sell it? That is the part we test first, and it is the part most programs skip.
The process
Describe the problem in the buyer’s words, how you know it from the inside, and the buyers you could reach this month. About 3 minutes.
A real conversation, not a pitch. We want to know how well you know your buyers, how many hours you can give, and how you handle a no.
Provisional admission gives you your own instance of vhOS, the system we run our own pipeline on. Free for three months. Already selling? Import your pipeline on day one.
Reach real buyers. Every conversation is scored the same way we score ours, with quoted evidence. You graduate when the evidence shows a sales process you can repeat. Came in with paying customers? The same record, over a shorter window, is what lets us advance you to a build early.
You bring the problem, your buyers’ words and the decisions; we shape them into the specification your software is built and tested against, line by line. You drive it with us, and it’s yours from day one.
VerticalHorizon builds your platform from that specification. Finish in the top 10% of your cohort and we build it for equity, from the $500,000 in development credits we allocate to each cohort. Or keep all your equity: pay monthly, or buy it outright.
Provisional admission
From us
From you
Your idea, your prospects and your pipeline belong to you, and we don’t use them. Leave without graduating and you take a full export of your data with you.
Graduation
The gate is evidence. Buyers describing the problem in their own words. Naming a budget and a timeline. Agreeing to talk price or try a pilot. Customers who pay, and a way to find the next ones. If you don’t get there, you’ve spent a few months at most, no money, and you know exactly why: we show you the quoted words behind every score, so even a “no” teaches you something.
Build options
Top performers are built first. Not in the top 10%, or want to keep your equity? Use the terms every VerticalHorizon client gets.
Each cohort, we allocate $500,000 in development credits, $2M a year across the four cohorts we plan, to build the top-ranked 10% of graduates’ platforms in full at agency rates, for equity in each company, agreed in writing before any work starts. At the rates our pipeline estimates, that’s about ten builds a cohort the size of Kindred Table, below: the build most founders raise a seed round to pay for. Graduates are ranked on a leaderboard.
A down payment at signing, then a monthly subscription, the way you already pay for the software you use. In the first year, that’s about 80% less than an agency would charge for the same build. These are the terms every VerticalHorizon client gets. No equity, ever.
One purchase price, paid once, and the software is yours: half the agency-rate estimate for your specification. The same purchase option every VerticalHorizon client has.
Terms in writing at graduation. None of the options has a program fee. Agency rates: the estimate our pipeline makes from your specification at $150 an hour. Founders advanced early on their vhOS record get the same three options, agreed at the time; those builds don’t draw on the cohort’s credits.

Every graduate’s platform comes out of VerticalHorizon Singularity, the AI-governed pipeline behind our client work. Here’s what it has produced.

FAQ
Nothing to take part: there’s no application fee, no program fee, and you get vhOS at no charge for the three months of your provisional admission. The only cost during the program is your own AI assistant usage. When it’s time to build, you choose the path for your software. Finish in the top-ranked 10% of your cohort and we build it for equity, with no cash from you. Otherwise, a monthly subscription or an outright purchase, both for a fraction of what an agency would charge, and both with no equity taken.
The sales and go-to-market system we built and use ourselves: account research, contacts, outreach tracking and signal scoring. It plugs into an AI assistant you already use.
Three months. Graduate sooner if the evidence is there.
You leave with an export of your data and owe us nothing. That outcome is common, and it’s useful: you learned the answer cheaply.
Yes, and it’s the third door above. Bring your pipeline into vhOS and run your selling through it. Imported deals are context; the conversations scored during the window are the evidence. When the record shows what you told us, we can advance you to a build before the cohort ends.
Because we’re deciding whether to invest in building your software, and we decide on evidence we can see, not numbers we’re told. You don’t abandon your CRM; you run your selling through vhOS for the window, in an instance we can both read, and the record is yours to keep.
No. Your idea, prospects and pipeline stay yours, in writing.
You don’t need to. The monthly subscription is built to be paid from revenue, and graduating means you’ve shown you can sell.
Production-grade software from a specification you own, through our governed pipeline, with every decision recorded.
No, it runs remotely.
Yes. Teams are welcome, not just solo founders. Send one application per startup and name your co-founders in it.
Four kinds of founder, honestly: you don’t have buyers you can reach yet; you’d rather keep building than start selling; you can’t commit real time to building a venture yet; you need to keep the idea secret until launch. If one of those is you today, the program will be a frustrating few months, and we’d rather say so now.
Introduce yourself. Three questions, chosen by where you are today.
We read every one. No pitch decks.
